Chuck Blakeman, a serial entrepreneur and business success
mentor, has somewhat of an uncommon viewpoint about business plans. Basically,
it is his belief that a new company does not need a business plan to get
started. Blakeman feels that preparing a business plan wastes time that could
be spent actually doing the business. A business plan helps an entrepreneur
plan for the future. But the flaw with that is the future cannot be foretold.
Since the future is unknown, Blakeman says, “Implement now, perfect as you go” (Blakeman,
2011).
